Volunteers from parishes around the diocese of Meath assisted on many levels with the celebrations during the recent World Meeting of Families in Dublin.
Reunion date:
A reunion of all WMOF2018 volunteers is planned for Friday 30th November 2018 at 7:30pm. This liturgical gathering and social reunion will be led by Bishop Tom Deenihan and hosted by St Mary’s Parish, Navan.
Volunteers from around the diocese:
The Volunteer department at the World Meeting of Families office have sent a message to 565 volunteers from around the diocese of Meath. Many at parish level also attended the RDS Congress and Festival of Families in Croke Park. All families and individuals who made the journey to the RDS, to Croke Park and the Phoenix Park are welcome to attend the gathering with volunteers.
If you wish to attend the Navan gathering, please register for the event.
Commemorative Booklet:
Hundreds of choir members, host families and volunteers gave generously of their time at the RDS, Croke Park and the Phoenix Park. Some travelled to assist at Knock Shrine. They have many memories, souvenirs and photos which we would like to capture as a reminder of a very special month of August.
The Meath diocesan committee hopes to launch a souvenir commemorative booklet on 30 November in order to share this journey of faith and family with future generations.
