The death has occurred of Fr Andy Farrell, P.E. Trim.
Fr Farrell was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Meath in 1957 and served first in St Louis, U.S.A. After a short period in Navan parish and St Finian’s College, he returned to Navan in June 1964 and was appointed Administrator in September 1982.
He was named Parish Priest of Kingscourt in 1994 where he remained until his appointment as Parish Priest of Trim in 1994. Fr Farrell retired in October 2009.
Predeceased by his brothers Billy and Sean, sister Maisie (Whelehan), deeply regretted by his brother Frank, sister Lil (Shaw), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandniece, great grandnephew, Bishop Tom Deenihan, retired Bishop Michael Smith, priests of the Diocese of Meath, parishioners, extended family and friends.
Reposing at St. Patrick’s Church, Trim on Wednesday 17 October 2018 from 3pm to 10pm, with evening prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday 18 October 2018 at 12 noon, followed by burial in the Church grounds.
