The Gold Medal was awarded to Trim for its floral excellence, and St Patrick’s Church played it part.
Trim was one of two towns chosen to represent Ireland in the Entente Florale 2015. Tremendous efforts were made by all concerned including the Parish of Trim.
The Church grounds are extensive and open to all, used by those coming to Masses and Church ceremonies, school children and people going about their daily lives. The Church grounds are maintained all year round but this year we made special efforts which produced wonderful results.
The judges from seventeen European countries visited the town on 17 July 2015. They visited St Patrick’s Church and St Mary’s Convent School. According to reports, they were impressed by both.
