It is proposed to focus on the training of junior school teachers (i.e. Junior Infants to Second Class inclusive) during this Lenten Season and senior school teachers (4th to 6th Class) in the next academic year.
All teachers from Junior Infants to Second Class are requested to attend. Teachers who may be deployed in the junior school classes in future years are also encouraged to attend. Principals, Chairpersons, Board members and local Clergy are also most welcome to attend.
The training will take place as follows:

Navan: Ardboyne Hotel on Wednesday 2nd March 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Speaker: Cora O Farrell, Department of Religious Education, St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra)
Ashbourne: Pillo Hotel on Thursday 3rd March 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Speaker: Cora O Farrell, Department of Religious Education, St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra)
Drogheda: City North Hotel, Gormanston on Thursday 10th March 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Speaker: Cora O Farrell, Department of Religious Education, St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra)
The presentations will include information on online resources available to assist teachers with interactive learning, materials for special education and the forthcoming programme for Gaelscoileanna and Gaeltacht Schools.
Teachers who may be transferring to teach in Junior Infant to 2nd class for the next or subsequent academic years are also encouraged to attend.
