Worldwide Eucharistic Adoration was celebrated on Sunday 2 June 2013, the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ.

Pope Francis took part in a period of Eucharistic Adoration, which was televised throughout the world. This celebration was in the context of the major events being celebrated for this Year of Faith. Every parish in the world was encouraged to have a time of Eucharistic Devotion on the same day.

A Holy Hour was conducted at the Cathedral of Christ the King, led by Fr Michael Kilmartin.  It began with a Corpus Christi procession through the Cathedral, followed by a reflection on the Eucharist.

After an extended period of silent prayer, the congregation recited the luminous mysteries of the rosary, culminating in the fifth mystery, the Institution of the Eucharist.

Bishop Smith concluded the liturgy with Solemn Benediction.
