A message from Fr Denis Nulty

As it is not possible to accommodate everyone in the Cathedral, I hope that you will join me in prayer and celebration. In the coming weeks and months, I plan to travel around my new diocese in order to greet local communities and to become more familiar with their hopes and needs. My Episcopal motto sums up my hope and mission as I begin my service as Bishop – Serve the Lord with gladness. I am deeply grateful for the welcome, good wishes and prayers I have received. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. I join with you in praying for the Church in Kildare and Leighlin as the Lord leads us into this new chapter.

A prayer for Fr Denis Nulty

O God, we pray for Fr Denis Nulty. Filled with your Spirit, may he minister with wisdom, understanding, knowledge and right judgement. May he display courage, reverence and a deep sense of wonder and awe in your presence. Hold him close to your heart that he may be a humble instrument of your love and compassion in the service of your people. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord, Amen.
