The National Religious Education Congress takes place every two years and to date has been held in Dublin, Dundalk and Tralee. This year it will be a one-day event held in Mater Dei Institute of Education, Dublin, on October 5, 2013.
In view of the many changes that are taking place in education at both primary and post-primary level, this year’s Congress is geared more specifically towards teachers, with an equal focus on both primary and post-primary education. Details relating to the event are available at www.recongress.ie.
As the Congress organisers explain, “this year’s Congress promises to be both informative and formative, challenging us all to ‘Increase our Faith’ and to ‘Fan the Flame’ of faith in our own lives, and in the lives of the young people entrusted to our care”.
