Parishes mark the beginning of the Eucharistic Congress

Many parishes are organising events in their local communities to mark the opening of the International Eucharistic Congress.  Here is a selection of some of these events:

Ardcath/Clonalvy:  Wednesday 13 June at 8.00pm – Holy Hour with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.

Curraha: Monday 11 June. Mass at 8.00pm followed by a Holy Hour with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.

Coole: Sunday 10 June is First Communion Day. After the Mass, there will be a Eucharistic Procession followed by Benediction.

Kells: The week day Mass at 9.30am will reflect the daily themes of the Eucharistic Congress.

Mullingar: An open-air Mass in Pearse Street, Mullingar will be celebrated on Sunday 10 June at 11.00am, followed by a Corpus Christi procession and concluding with Benediction at the steps of the Cathedral.

Navan: A ceremony will take place each evening in St Mary’s Church at 8.00pm, focusing on the daily themes of the Eucharistic Congress.  The Friday ceremony will conclude with the blessing of the commemorative Stations of the Cross in St Anne’s Garden.

Rathkenny:  A Corpus Christi procession will take place on Sunday 10 June at 3pm.

Tullamore:  Mass will be celebrated in O’Connor Park, Tullamore on Saturday 9 June at 7.30pm followed by a Corpus Christi Procession to O’Connor Square for Benediction.
