170 volunteers from the Diocese of Meath took part in a choir rehearsal in Navan last evening (Monday 23 July), led by Jim Walsh and accompanied by David Burke.
They are preparing to join the Papal choir for the Mass with Pope Francis in the Phoenix Park next month.
Speaking after the gathering, Fr Robert McCabe said that “it’s heartening to see how seriously choir members from around the diocese are taking the rehearsals; it’s also nice to see singers making new friends as they learn from other choirs and musicians around the parishes of our diocese.”
