The death has occurred of the Very Reverend John Brogan, Parish Priest of Kilskyre on Sunday 19 July 2015.
A native of Oldcastle, Fr Brogan studied at the Pontifical Irish College, Rome and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Meath in 1974. He was appointed curate in Clonmellon (October 1974) before serving as a curate in Moynalty (from June 1975), Slane (from 1978), Mucklagh (from September 1985) and Kilcloon (from September 1992). He became Parish Priest of Donore in October 1999 and came to Kilskyre as Parish Priest in October 2009.
The funeral arrangements are as follows:
Reposing at the Parochial House in Kilskyre on Tuesday 21 July from 1.00pm until 6.00pm.
Reception of the Remains in the Church of St. Alphonsus Liguori on Tuesday 21 July at 7.00pm
Requiem Mass in the Church of St. Alphonsus Liguori on Wednesday 22 July at 12 noon.
