Drumconrath and Meath Hill Liturgy Group  launch the Parish Prayer Book (A Praying Companion) in the Parish Centre, Drumconrath on Wednesday 21 December 2016.

The main speaker on the evening was Fr. Tom Hogan (Redemptorist) and guest of honour was local 101 year old parishioner Dolly Maguire.

This prayer book which includes a very comprehensive collection of prayers old and new is  the result of four years work by the Parish Liturgy Group.

The prayers are laid out under prayer themes for various occassions (sickness, bereavement, direction in life etc.) and each chapter in the book is introduced by a nice colourful image which gives the book a very inviting appeal.

Also included are novenas, prayers of the saints and to the saints as well as various prayers of blessing.
Fr. Gabriel Harty O.P. has written a Foreward to the book and is most complimentary in his review.
“As Parish Priest, I am delighted with this publication and I feel that it will be an invaluable resource for priests and parishioners not just here in Drumconrath but further afield wherever and whenever people wish to pray either privately or in a public setting” (Fr Finian Connaughton PP, Drumconrath).
