The death has occurred of Fr Sean Fay, retired Parish Priest of Enfield-Rathmolyon.
Fr Fay was a native of Collinstown and was ordained in St Patrick’s College, Maynooth in 1958. He served in Mullingar for a short time before he went on loan to Castlecomer in the Diocese of Ossory. In 1959 he was appointed to the staff of St Finian’s College and became President of the College in May 1980. Fr Fay was appointed Parish Priest of Rathmolyon-Enfield in August 1986. He retired in September 2006 and remained active in the parish until 2012.
Funeral arrangements:
Reposing at the Parochial House, Rathmolyon on Thursday from 4 pm to 6.30 pm with removal to St. Michael’s Church, Rathmolyon arriving at 7 pm. (Church will remain open until Rosary at 10 pm) Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 am followed by burial in Kill Cemetery.
