The death has occurred of Fr. Joseph Brilley, Parish Priest of Drumraney at his residence, after a short illness bravely borne, surrounded by his family, friends and parishioners. Deeply regretted by his sisters, brother, relatives and a large circle of friends, the Bishop and priests of the diocese and the parishioners of Drumraney, Forgney and Tang.
Reposing in the Pastoral Centre, Drumraney from 2pm on Tuesday, followed by removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drumraney arriving at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon.

Fr Brilley was a native of Summerhill parish and was ordained in 1986 in St Patrick’s College, Thurles. He served as a Curate in Holy Family, Drogheda (1986-87), Kilbeggan (1987-89) and Tyrrellspass (1989-97).
He was appointed Parish Priest of Dysart in September 1997. Fr Brilley moved to Drumraney as Parish Priest in 1998 in succession to the late Fr Andrew Rispin.
