The next phase of the Cathedral’s advent programme represents a focus on the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  A penitential service will take place on Monday 23 December at 7.30pm while confessions will be available on Christmas from 12 noon until 5.30pm.  The Cathedral is very grateful to the 20 priests from the area who will assist as confessors during the period.  Bishop Michael Smith encourages families, in preparation for Mass on Christmas day, to avail of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and, in so doing, to experience the true spiritual blessing of the festive season.

The Bishop will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Nativity on Christmas Eve at 10.00pm in the Cathedral of Christ the King.
