The following note is prepared by Sean Wright
Catholic Schools Week 2016 invites all involved in Catholic education to examine what we understand by mercy and how we live out the call to be merciful. This takes places in the context of the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy, which commenced on 8 December last.
We are called to self-reflect and remind all members of the school community of the founding values. In other words, education is never simply about transmitting simple facts. Catholic Schools Week offers schools an opportunity to celebrate their identity as Catholic educational bodies.

If your parish or school is organising a liturgy, event or activity during Catholic Schools Week, please email some details to the Diocesan Office (secretary@dioceseofmeath) so that news and ideas can be shared.
Thank you.
